The International Office offers services to politicians and civil servants within the Stockholm County Council. This involves support on internationalisation issues, contacts and coordination of the bilateral co-operation agreements of the County Council.
The international policy of the Stockholm County Council states that the aim of international work is to enhance the development of the Stockholm Region and to contribute to the development of the County Council’s operations. Stockholm County Council is a member of a number of international organizations and networks:
-Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC)
-Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions (CPMR)
-EuroHealthNet
-European Health Management Association (EHMA)
Besides this work, professionals of the County Council have international collaborations within their specialties.
Stockholm County Council has cooperation agreements with:
- Mazovie Region in Poland
- Moscow Regional Duma
- Saint Petersburg
